Welcome
Welcome to the ΣAE Colorado Chi chapter fraternity website. Our brotherhood was
founded in 1856 at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and locally here at the
University of Colorado in 1891. Since its inception, over 285,000 college men have
chosen to pledge and ultimately become brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, making it
the nation's largest social fraternity. No other fraternity on the Boulder campus
has the heritage or the spirit of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. For a more
complete history of ΣAE, please visit our
national headquarters' website.
Explore our chapter's site for more information about our brotherhood.
If you are interested in becoming a true gentleman, please stop by our house
at 1101 University Ave. Or contact our recruitment chair,
Derek Henmi.
Why Sigma Alpha Epsilon?
The mission of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is to promote the highest standards of
friendship, scholarship and service for its members based upon the ideals set
forth by the Founders and as specifically enunciated in "The True Gentleman"
"The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good
will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal
to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his
poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority
or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble
another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of
his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but
always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word;
who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own;
and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred
and virtue safe."
